Q: What should I do to prepare for my first class?

A: Please arrive 5-10 minutes for your first class to sign a waiver, ask any questions you may have and get acquainted with the studio space. This will also allow you to discuss any concerns or injuries you may have with your instructor.

Q: What should I bring to class?

A: You'll need running shoes, a water bottle and comfortable clothes.

Q: Do I need any former dance training to join Run The Flex?

A: Nope! Seriously. If your only experience is dancing at bars or weddings…that’s more than fine. Our classes are designed to help everyone find their inner dancer.  We recommend that those interested in the 6-week beginner program have 0-2 years of dance experience, and those interested in the 6-week intermediate program have 3-5 years of dance experience.

Q: Who can join Run The Flex?

A: Anyone over the age of 18 years old can join a Run The Flex session. Our students range anywhere from 18 – 65 years of age. Exceptions for those under 18 will only be made for private lessons.

Q: What makes Run The Flex unique?

A: There are no other programs like Run The Flex in Toronto. Our hip hop training program is specifically geared towards adults with 0-5 years of dance experience.  Unlike drop-in classes, the progressive nature of ourprogram allows our students to build on one routine over multiple weeks, continuously expanding their knowledge and skills as they grow as dancers. We provide all of our students with personalized feedback and encourage them to feel empowered through movement. As a result of our program structure, we’ve developed a strong sense of community, as our students collectively learn and grow together. We treat the classroom strictly as a place of learning – the only video recording we do is on the final week for the end of session concept video.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: If a student has to cancel their registration prior to the start of the program, 50% of their payment will be refunded to them. Payment is non-refundable once the session starts.

Q: Do you offer discounts?

A: We offer an early bird discount for every 6-week session we run. This discount is available up until 4 weeks prior to the start of the session. It’s a pretty sweet deal -  you save $25.00!

Q: Do you offer payment plans?

A: We offer payment plans for those who request one. Our payment plans are offered in 2, 3, or 4 instalments periods. The first payment must be received before the first day of the session, and the final payment must be received by the halfway mark of the program. These plans only apply to our 6-week sessions. Q: What if I have injuries?

A: It is very important that you let your dance instructor know about any injuries or medical conditions you have. This will allow them to provide you with modifications when necessary. When you fill out your initial waiver form, you will be asked to write down your injuries and medical conditions.

Q: What if I don't live in Toronto?

A: We want you to Run Your Own Flex, wherever you live! If you are interested in bringing a Run The Flex session to your city or community, please contact nicole@runtheflex.com. These sessions can run for either a 4 or 6-week period, and we require a minimum of 10 participants for the session to run.
